Ferrari: A Disaster in Slow Motion

There is not much worth saying about Ferrari, it fluctuates between average and a little above average during it’s runtime and it doesn’t do anything to captivate the audience’s attention. There were a couple of interesting moments where I thought “ohh that’s interesting that Enzo Ferrari did that” and then it dips back down into mediocrity.

The thing that is most interesting to talk about is a spoiler as it happens near the end of the film and is quite crucial to what happens (though it is something that happened in real life in 1957) <*Spoilers*> near the end of the film there is a crash that in real life killed 9 people and the 2 drivers, it is a shocking moment because 1. It’s quite a visceral reenactment of real life death and 2. from a Visual Effects standpoint it looks quite bad, it’s almost comical which as a depiction of a real life tragedy I don’t feel is very respectful in the way that it was done.</*Spoilers*>

For a film about the creator of Ferrari, the film is slow, and doesn’t go anywhere exciting.
